My Story
I began making macarons as a way to connect with friends. Over time, I learned that the environment when making macarons has an immense impact on the outcome. Components such as humidity and oven type can affect the final macaron product. It’s not just the physical environment that is relevant, though. Socially, I found that my community environment impacted my baking. Without friends, coworkers, and family, baking felt uninspired and unenjoyable. I found that my macarons and other cookies have brought people together. Due to the community and environment that naturally formed, I have embraced how my baking has made a positive influence on my milieu, or my social environment, along with my mental health. Baking has been a form of self-care, connection, and meditation for me, and I hope that my cookies can spread positivity, infused with self-care, to you and those who are important to you.
